The sound controls for Skype are in Skype - and not the normal computer audio controls.
Open Skype. Click the S button (bottom left). Choose Options. Choose Sound Devices. Mine didn't work properly until I chose the option with "HW" in it."A problem well stated is a problem half solved." --Charles F. Kettering
