Revert to Ubuntu from Kubuntu [Solved]

Friends,

I want to know if it is possible to go to Ubuntu from Kubuntu?
My problem refers to a previous post not resolved yet to get Huawei E220 modem to work.

I was told that if I use Ubuntu the modem will work, the problem is that I already installed Kubuntu 9.04 on the applicable PC and would like to revert to Ubuntu without losing Kubuntu completely.

You can, by installing 'ubuntu-desktop' package

Really...I would be surprised. (The same fix should work in ubuntu and kubuntu, as the underlaying system is the same)

Installed Ubuntu 9.04, Issue resolved with E220 modem.
