    kde 4.2.3

    I have kubuntu 9.04 with kde 4.2.2
I have looked at the instructions on Kunbutu.org on how to upgrade to kde 4.2.3 and I am still not sure what to do
Could someone tell me in simple newbie terms how to do this?

Look under the main menu/System for "Software sources" and launch it, when the dialog opens click the "third party software" tab at the top.

click the "add" button at the bottom, and copy this line:

    deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/kubuntu-ppa/ppa/ubuntu jaunty main

to the dialog that opened. click the "add source" button and close. the system will now reload all the updates from the repositories and will notify you about the new update from KDE.

    it's really very simple.

now that you have the KDE repository in your software resources, all the future updates will be done automatically

      Thanks
The program "Software sources" had not been installed .
Once had I had it installed, I followed your directions and it worked like a charm, along with 84 other updates lol
