SOS: stuck at starup loading! WHY??

Can somebody be kind enough to HELP me plz... I need this for school.

It seemed like I've installed Kubuntu successfully, but i didn't get my happily ever after right there.


How come I can log in, but then it loads up and stops wit that black screen at:
"checking battery..." ---it says something like that! and that's it!!!

Wot do i do SOS!!!

when booting hit esc to get to your grub menu and select "recovery mode" when that boots up you will get an option to fix X server i would try that first.from what you discribed. if that does not work you can then check for broken packages from the same recovery mode.
