[Solved] Can't resize window on Kubuntu 8.10/KDE 4.1

OK, this sounds dumb, and it might well be, but the advice given in help isn't working.

After maximizing the eclipse development environment I can't get it to resize smaller. It can be minimized to the toolbar but there is nothing in between minimum and maximum.

The window titlebar is not showing so I can't use it to move the window around.

Since the titlebar is missing I can't use the window Move or Resize menu options.

Holding down Alt and moving the mouse with left button held down does nothing.

When moving the mouse cursor around the perimeter of the window it never presents the double-ended arrow allowing resize.

Holding Alt and dragging with the right mouse button held down does nothing.

So how can I shrink this application window?

I can move it to another desktop but it's always maximized.

    TIA

OK, got it fixed. I discovered the "Allow resizing windows that are maximized" option.
