Can't copy and paste files in dolphin

Ok, first up, I'm using 8.10, the 64-bit distro

And quite simply, I can't copy and paste files from one directory to another. My only option is to go into konqueror and use the "move to" function. I can't use any copy/paste function

    Cheers

I am running the same system.
I have not tried to copy and paste in dolphin, but absolutely love the split view.
If you split the view you can navigate to your source directory in one half and the destination in the other half.
Once there you can drag files and folders across and are given the option to move or copy.
This is one of my favourite aspects of dolphin.
you can split the view horizontally or vertically as you prefer.

Decent sort of interim fix, so cheers

Although may I ask how you split horizontally? I can't seem to find the option. Its probably staring me in the face, but at the moment, its just escaping me

        Sorry, my bad.
The horizontal split option is in konqueror, under the window menu.

Just an update, I just tried copy and paste in dolphin and it works fine.
I am on KDE4.2.2 so that may be the difference.
More basic functionality like this seems to be making it's way back into the system with each update release.
