setting up a new manual ADSL network connection

I went to network icon down the taskbar>new connection>eth0

Used Following Settings:

See the attachment

and then Next> Conn name: Airtel (checked Auto connect)

Connect and Save

But the State is Disconnected in Network Icon


I use these settings on Windows they ork fine but not in this?

I do not recognize the version of Kubuntu that you are using from your screen shot. I generally use Ubuntu.

You need to send some information so that people have a clue as to what you are working with.

Also send the results of;

lspci

Also it would be nice to know what country you are in. Here in the USA most eth0 or eth1 connections are automatically detected and hooked up before you are completely booted.
