I am on 8.04. Afer successfully copying one CD, I have tried to get k3b to copy another CD, loading the cd a number of time, but in the CD copy window, the start remains greyed out. Can any one help?

One of many things you might want to checkout, make sure that the partition where k3b is temporarily caching files is not full or nearly full.
