Boots into Gnome desktop by default, not into kde 4.1 as before. [resolved]

At the password promt i have always just put in my password and hit enter to go into kubuntu 8.10. Now if i don't open sessions and choose kde it boots into a basic gnome desktop. How do I get it back to automaticaly go into my kde desktop without having to choose in sessions? Thanks for any input.

Start a kde session and then:

kmenu/system settings and fit the advanced tab.

Then choose login manager/convenience and select auto-login. When you next start your machine you will no longer see the login box - you will go straight into a kde session.
