    Hi.

Install 'Envy' using Synaptic - it should find the correct driver and install it for you.

If that works you may wish to install the ATI Catalyst Control Center. In my experience that will work in changing resolutions when 'Display' (in System Settings) does not!

If you find a decent resolution (use 'auto' for refresh rate) note it down and don't change it. Otherwise it may be back to square 1.

I open Synaptic Package manager and in quick search enter Envy and in package i have:
      libgdal1-1.5.0
      libdal-perl
      libdal-ruby1.8
      python-gdal
      gdal-bin
      libgdal1-dev

what i install from this or all?

        Ok

Some of those may be dependencies but 'envy' should throw up:

'envyng-core' if you look with the 'not installed' filter

        version is: 2.0.1

Just install that and run it.
