im on my psp so ill b short i have kubuntu and 4 sum reason i cant log in2 eather my counsoul as root or my normal account but i was on earlyer 2day i lost my ISO disk 2 boot and it will take 2 long 2 burn anotherone ne1 know how i can log in2 my comp? uhanks

I thought kubuntu doesn't allow you to log in as root. Anyway, you've probably already tried this but check if you can log in with caps lock on, just in case you had it on when you created the password (it's case sensitive). -

As for the actual question by dragon, after some deciphering (to understand the question :P):
Can you get into the recovery console?
Do you get any error messages?
Do you have a live-CD at hand?
Also there are a few 'older' threads about login problems, and as I recall...a few working solutions, you could try searching for those to see if your symptoms are similar.Comment
