    Cant boot my computer

    Starting up:
1.376116] Kernel panic - not syncing: VFS : Unable to mount root fs on a unknown - block (0,0)

That what it give me when starting up my computer. I just install kubuntu 8.10.
What I remember doing. I was updating. And it ask me for what hardware to install. I went for what was recemented for my computer. It was something like 707. Right now I'm using kubuntu 8.10 live cd. So how would I fix this start up computer problem? I'm still a noobie at linux. But I'm starting to getting the hang of thing.

    Sounds like a bad installation.
    Check the CD for Defects.
    Check the MD5SUMs.
    Re-do the installation.
