I have a strange box

LOL, went to visit my sister (pictured with my grandson) and she has this crazy little box.

It only appears when she opens either Konquerer or Firefox and will not close unless you xkill. It is nameless other than when I was emailing myself the screen shot (that I saved to the desktop) I noticed that it was also listed alongside the pic! It is called .directory and is a BIN file. I prolly could upload it to imageshack but I'm kinda afraid to mess with it, even though I only use Gnome.

Hope someone can help, she uses Kubuntu Hardy (i think) I know she uses the older version of KDE.

You should grab the corner and make it big enough so you can see what it is.

You should also run "ps axf" before it appears and then after it appears. You should then be able to see what the process is and then we may be able to figure out how to stop it from coming back.
