Does anyone know of a parental control other than "DansGuardian" that is available for Kubuntu (or Ubuntu)? Thanks, Lou

Re: Parental Control
A different way of doing it is to use OpenDNS as your DNS. See http://www.opendns.com/solutions/k12/"A problem well stated is a problem half solved." --Charles F. Kettering

Re: Parental Control
Is OpenDNS free also?
Can you give me a general idea on how to load it?
Is it just for a DNS server or can it be for a desktop?
Not sure if this is comparable to a regular Windows DNS server application or if it's even remotely related.
Remember... I'm a newbie!
Thanks in advance for any info.
I appreciate all that you folks are doing for our community.

Re: Parental Control

In a computer look at https://www.opendns.com/start/ which gives the Ubuntu instructions.
In a router there are router specific instructions at https://www.opendns.com/start/router/ and general instructions at https://www.opendns.com/start/device/router
When you have registered it will give you options to block different things."A problem well stated is a problem half solved." --Charles F. Kettering
