    cleaning printer nozzles?

Ok I know this probably is a dumb question and very easy, but I need to clean my printer nozzles and can't figure out how to do it...

I did a search here and found a thread that listed this command from a terminal
    Code:
    -c | --clean-head
but when I entered it it cam back
    Code:
    command not found
I am using KDE 4 that I installed with a regular ubuntu 8.10 install because I prefered KDE over gnome....

The printer works very well, but I got it from a friend and just put in the new cartridges, so while I am getting it to print, the print quality hasn't been very good because of the dirty nozzles. It is an Epson cx5000 and I wasn't able to find any Linux drivers from Epson for this machine either...

I know this is probably just some easy fix and I am missing something in what I have been able to find so far.

    Hi.

    Have a look at:

    http://linux.about.com/library/cmd/blcmdl1_escputil.htm

'escputil' is a package which you can install via Synaptic (or Adept if you must) and it provides the utilities for maintaining Epson Stylus printers.

    Best of luck.

Yeah, that escputil is great... for a handy app for checking ink levels see my post here:
