    Sony Ericsson z750i not recognised

Hi everyone, after having a good browse through these forums and the net I'm still having trouble locating a fix for my sony ericsson z750i not being recognised via usb cable. I don't have bluetooth or infra-red on my computer so it's the only way I can transfer data across

Interestingly, the phone recognises it has been plugged into a computer (in fact, it's far better detection wise than in Vista), but after using the lsusb and dmesg | tail commands I got a few interesting messages etc.

Here's the link to what I've been following so far -
    http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1031277

I'll put the output of both of these below for you:

    lsusb-
Bus 007 Device 003: ID 1058:1001 Western Digital Technologies, Inc. External Hard Disk
Bus 007 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
Bus 005 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 003 Device 002: ID 04f2:b008 Chicony Electronics Co., Ltd
Bus 003 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 006 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 004 Device 002: ID 045e:008a Microsoft Corp. Wireless Keyboard and Mouse
Bus 004 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub

    and dmesg | tail -

    [ 1918.548078] usb 5-1: device descriptor read/64, error -71

[ 1920.489461] hub 5-0:1.0: unable to enumerate USB device on port 1

'Unable to enumerate', 'device not accepting address' and 'error' is looking bleak, so I hope there's a fix out there (since I just bought a new memory card for my phone and it's basically useless if I can't put anything on it!)

Thanks for your help in advance, I'll continue to see if I can find a fix on my own as well.
