after 10-15 seconds mouse buttons cease to work and keyboard gos by by (after i get logged in).
I am absolutely confused as to what to do. I have tried different keyboards and mice.
I have installed KUBUNTU 8.10 I386 version on an e-machine(Gateway's cheap underling company). t2742.
2.7 G Hz Intel celeron processor
40G hdd with windows
320G hdd w/Kubuntu 8.10 i386 version 32 bit
1 G memory (2x512) 333mhz
on board graphics and sound, graphics work sound does not
a really old Microsoft mouse 2 button only(basic mouse)
e-machines keyboard model #9908
the only thing i can guess is that it is getting really slow heading for a lock up or it is not configuring the hardware correctly. I am completely new to Linux so i have no clue what i am doing as far as software. this is acting like windows sucking up all the resources only the mouse gets to move.
and me having A.D.D.(attention deficit disorder)me trying to read all these posts just confuse me all the more. I figured i would install on this computer learn how to use then install on my much larger beast that i am building.
