Kubuntu vs Ubuntu on a laptop

Hi i was just wondering whether which was better for my Inspiron 1000 laptop. and which would work better with my hardware/wireless card etc.

Hi,

As it's the same distro they both should work the same even if I heard that sometimes they are different...
Maybe to be sure, you can try liveCD...
Personnally I like to change desktop sometimes to check how are others, for now I'm always coming back to kde but I have ubuntu-desktop installed on all my kubuntus and sometimes I'm checking...

There's no need to do that. Download either one, burn it, install it, and then use Synaptic, or Adept to install the other by installing (k)ubuntu-desktop
