    Atheros wireless connection

    Okay, here's the problem:
    I am helping my friend install kubuntu on his computer after his windows installation just turned to crap, (more crap). Everything was working fine, except I cannot connect to any wireless networks, so it cannot get on the internet at all. Although Ubuntu works fine on my computer with atheros I cant get this to work, any advice?

    here are some of the outputs I got:

    just a guess - try going to a terminal and typing:

    jockey-kde

    that should allow you to install the atheros drivers.

      I had aleady enabled the Atheros drivers, but it still isn't working, right now I'm using a wired connection from the laptop, but am still trying to be able o use wireless. Is there a way to scan for all available networks besides iwlist, maybe that would help?

        is it an eee-pc by any chance?

        if not what is it?
