hey all i mounted the iso downloaded from here to both a cd and dvd and it keeps giving me invalid cd detected error....whats going on?

I'm not sure what this means. It is not enough to copy an iso to either a CD or a DVD. You need to BURN an iso. That is a special procedure to produce a linux bootable disk.
