    How do I configure Java?

I'm running Kubuntu 8.10. I installed the restricted codecs including Java .bin and jre, but how to I add the "run Sun Java 6 Runtime" to my right click menu? There's a couple of Java programs I'd like to use. Thanks.

I'm not sure I understand this.

I have Java installed and I have Java programs e.g. jbidwatcher.

But if I want jbidwatcher I just start that program - Java sits in the background and I don't "start" it.

What Java Programs do you want to use?

Java runtimes aren't a program that can be run. Its a library that provides features & interfaces for Java programs.
