    problem booting my machine

i recently installed kubuntu 7 on my HP a2110.za machine. (1GB DDR2 RAM -upgraded to 3GB), 160GB SATA HDD, Lightscribe Multicombo optical drive, multicard reader. 10/100/1000 NIC Ethernet, 6.1 audio support, INTEL Celeron 1.6Ghz) It came preinstalled with MS WIN VISTA HOME BASIC. After succesully managing to dual boot the OSs the PC is now dead. Like when i press the power button the CPU hums to life but the LCD monitor ( TFT 17" inch Samsung) jus stays blank with only the power LED blinking. the keyboard and the mouse do not even light up please help!!!

    Re: problem booting my machine

Connect the laptop to a wall socket and leave it like that for ~30mins and then try again. If that doesn't help, then you'll have to send it in for repairs....cause its got hardware damage. Do not try to open in yourself.

btw, I doubt kubuntu broke it. If I had to guess, I'd say the motherboard is dead.
