    Not recognizing me as admin

I have Kubuntu on 3 other computers and they work just fine... but I just was told my internet at school wasn't working becuase I need to change my TCP window scaling. So I went to do that- and when I did (I was changing a file in /etc/stsctl.conf) it wouldn't let me save it. I know I am logged in as administrator... so what is the problem? t.t

In *buntu, one doesn't "log in as administrator" unless you modified the system to enable the root account. To edit files owned by root, you have to do so with root permissions, i.e., access the file with an editor "as root." If using a GUI editor, you would launch it from the CLI with kdesu (or kdesudo) application file.
