panel problem in kubuntu

i am a new user to kubuntu, by mistakely i closed the default panel which will be at the bottom of the desktop, but now panel is closed. after a couple of days i could create a panel but it is on the top, of the screen , i would like it to be set to it default options and position. i have read a lot in the posts like this
k menu
looks and feels option<panel control<configure panel , then select the position it should be placed,
but i could find find no option as mentioned in any posts , any one please help me to restore all the settings to default so as they r when installed,
also please let me know how to change the user name and password for kubuntu.
successful information would be really thankful.
please help this new liux user. any1 plzzzz.

yes yes the problem solved, i made a reset to the desk top every thing came back to its position. thanks to the forms.........
