Changing Laptop Name

I believe this is a very simple question but... when I start Kubuntu 8.10 and the login GUI appears, I get: "Welcome to 'so and so' Laptop". How do I change the name of the laptop? I get options to change the user name and what not, but not this.

The general consensus appears to be:

  1.   Open System → Administration → Network.
  2.   Click General, and enter the name of the computer in the Host name field.

Restart the computer for the change to take effect.
