    sound help please

    hello im new to all this ,just say first i like the look of kubunto its cool.

    now my prob is i know nothing.
    i got an xf-i gamer souncard and i have been trying to follow how to get it to work but cant.
    so can somebody tell me in an easy braindead way of getting sound please.

    now i wish i had started out with linux as when i look at stuff i go all green and wonder how to doit it lol.
    and i downloaded alsa drivers how do you get it to install downloads always look like you have to compile them or something i wish i new more lol.

    ohh well ill get there in the end i hope.
