    Partition problem

    Hi.

I had XP on one hard drive and I partitioned another hard drive to install Kubuntu.
Long story short, Kubuntu got screwed and wouldn't boot and I also couldn't boot Windows. I eventually had to format my C drive, the one with windows, and reinstall windows XP again. I haven't reinstalled Kubuntu.

Now I have a problem with the partitions I made while installing Kubuntu. The partitions show up in XP but I can't format, resize or merge them. How can I claim them back?

    Thanks

    Re: Partition problem

    Hello !
Don't worry ! Just boot your machine using a Linux Live CD ! [ Puppy lInux is good choice ]
    type gpartd in terminal.
Delete all parttions of your second hard drive formatted with ext2/ext3 or any nix file system.
Leave it , donot create any new partition !
    Now reboot.

    Hope it will work !

Thank you Saurav. I'll give that a go.

I'm not finished with Kubuntu by a long way!
