    Kids software

In Linux, and Kubuntu in particular, where do I search for young kids educational software programs, geography, spelling, arithmetic and the like?

Gcompris is good. My grandkids. ages 3-8, love supertux and supertuxkart, no education there, but lots of fun for little ones. Another to try is childsplay. These are all in the repositories. Open your package manager and search for education. Lots of stuff to look at. My grandkids are driving me crazy with this stuff.

Get tuxpaint also. A simple paint program, kids love it.

Frozen-bubble is also great. I've yet to see a kid (or adult for that matter) that didnt love it!
