I have helped install 8.10 through wubi on my cousins desktop, but something is wrong in the desktop. The screen seem to flicker every few seconds, and the coursor jumps about on the screen. Has anybody seen this before, or know what could be wrong?

In addition, something strange is happening when he logs into kubuntu. His windows-laptop suddenly loses the ability to connect to the internet properly. It runs slowly, and then disconnects from the net completely. As soon as he leaves the room with the laptop however, it works perfectly. And the kubuntu installation is not even online!
