intalled xubuntu with kubuntu help

I have kubuntu installed on pc and decided to install xubuntu desktop.Now when i boot it boots in xubuntu but with all kubuntu applications with it as well.Can i boot in kubuntu or xubuntu or they become as one under xubuntu. Hope i didnt confuse you. Thanks

yes you can boot either way by choosing session type at the login in screen and all the apps should be there for kde and xfce hope that helps

Sometimes having multiple desktop environments can cause minor issues, such as apps from the respective desktop environments clashing together, resulting in a cluttered desktop. However, Xfce and KDE should work together better than KDE and Gnome, so you might actually be all right.
