i am playing shatter galaxy, and cpu reach 90%-100%,any help to lower down the cpu usage.using wine 1.0 on hardy.

The classical Linux/Unix approach is to reduce the priority of the process (using the "nice", or changing the "niceness"). You can google for that or ask for more.
An alternative approach, closer to what you do. but also newer (I never tried it) is to limit the cpu usage, try installing "cpulimit" from the Universe repository. Here is how it works:

thanks for the reply ,i didnt try it. cos i purge wine
.after playing the game in wine my network connection is no good (lag).
