Will this external work on kubuntu?

I am new to kubuntu, it is my main and only o.s. (i switched from ubuntu) and i was wondering if an external hard drive (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1203815241551) that one. would work? I have kubuntu 8.04 by the way

Don't see why it wouldn't. It's USB 2.0. If you don't have USB 2.0 ports, you won't get the throughput speed.

Yea i'm pretty sure it will work now, i've had a rough day o.s. wise. I installed fedora but the internet was super slow then i got openSUSE and the internet sucked on that and now i'm back to kubuntu 8.04 and i'm going to stay with it. thats why i asked about the external i wanted to know if i should keep kubuntu
