MSN Messenger account in Kopete

Hi!

I set up a MSN Messenger account in Kopete, but it does not seem to work.
All my contacts appear off-line, whereas I am sure some are online (on another computer with Windows).

What can I do about it?

1) Have a look at http://www.tuxmagazine.com/system/files/Kopete.pdf . Tuxmagazine only went to about 10 issues and stopped - a while ago, but the information is still good.

2) If Kopete proves too difficult I recommend an app called Kmess which is simplicity itself.

I understand there is a problem with the latest kopete as regards MSN - see here

In the meantime there are a number of alternatives. AMSN is an accomplished MSN alternative. Think it's in the repos (i'm not at my 'buntu box right now)

I found that aMSN seems to work with msn accounts
