    Getting Kubuntu...

    Hi,

How would I get a copy of the Kubuntu CD without having a graphical interface? Is there somewhere to get it via FTP?

    Thanks in advance - convict

You haven't specified whether 32- or 64-bit, or what version. So, here are the links for ftp for Intrepid Ibex 8.10 for both:
699M Desktop CD for PC (Intel x86) computers (standard download)
696M Desktop CD for 64-bit PC (AMD64) computers (standard download)
Windows no longer obstructs my view.
Using Kubuntu Linux since March 23, 2007.

find a ftp server from wich you want to dowload from... for example
      ftp.tudelft.nl

      open a console,
      type: ftp ftp.tudelft.nl

you will be asked for a username, enter: ftp or anonymous
      enter a password

      for kubuntu 8.10
      cd your way to /pub/Linux/releases.ubuntu.com/kubuntu/8.10/
to download the kubuntu 8.10 iso you would type:

      get kubuntu-8.10-alternate-i386.iso
      will download kubuntu
