    how to open a folder as root in 8.10 or how to get the open as root service

    anyone help me out here as im trying to install some stuff to my usr/shares folder and anyways it would be nice to have it back

    You can do so from a console (Terminal): K Menu > Applications > Utilities > Terminal
    Once the console is open, type:
    Code:
    sudo su
    Type in your password and you are now operating as root.
    Windows no longer obstructs my view.

        cheers for that Rog but i have installed that but the problem is if i say open in dolphin as root it opens the folder but shows no files, so i had to use the change permissions option in the menu only then could i copy the files i needed to the folder lol
