I have just installed Kubuntu 8.10 on my laptop. So I wanted to get Firefox and Thunderbird downloaded. Also earlier today the package manager notifier ( if thats what it is called) also shows that their are 24 software updates available. But when I try to run Adept I can get as far as choosing a package and starting it. It dose the same thing when I click on the update notifier icon. It begins to run then gives the following message:

(Sorry I haven't had a chance to figure out how to send in a bug report yet, still new to Linux.)
By the way thanks to Snowhog for your help on another problem I had with Burning an ISO.
