    Demultiplexer plugin...?

Hi....I finally installed Kubuntu 8 and i'm having trouble with Juk. I got music (mp3 files) in another partition (Windows Vista) and i'm trying to open the files from Kubuntu with Juk. It doesn't work and says "cannot find demultiplexer plugin for the given media data".....What's that about? Help me please....

    Hi

Have you installed the thing that allows you to play MP3s?

If not, connect to the Internet, open a Terminal and input:
    sudo apt-get install kubuntu-restricted-extras

Idefixus, after you have followed arochester's advice and are listening to your music I will suggest something related to this part of your question:

What you were missing was the necessary codec for mp3s, LAME. It is a proprietary codec (mux-demux) but you can read all about it using the keywords I mentioned in your favourite search engine.
