first of all, I installed kubuntu 8.10 from CD and after that the nvidia driver 177. when I reboot I didn't see nothing on the screen, only color lines. after 3-4 reboot I saw the screen and deactivated th opsion direct rendering. this solve my problem, the first one. second i installed compiz, emerald and kde desktop effects or something like that, after this the 4 desktop i had were reduced at 2. I Can't add others,so i can't see the desktop cube. can someone explain what i have to do...I want this effect...
