I want to get Kubuntu off of my harddrive. How do I do that?

If you're on Vista, one option is to click start, and right-click on the "computer" option and select "manage". This will bring up computer management. Go to storage>disk management. You will see your partitions here. It is from this menu that you can delete, merge, reformat, ect. your partitions. Remember this only for Vista.

If you have XP, you might be able to reformat the partitions using the application you used to partition. However, I cannot help you here..

There is, however, yet another way to do this. It can be risky, though. You may use the Kubuntu install disc to delete the Kubuntu partitions, reformat as NTFS, and re-expand the Windows partition. However, this can cause Windows to not boot, resulting in a necessary system restore. I experienced this when deleting the ubuntu partitions off my HDD. In order to do this, proceed as you were installing Kubuntu UNTIL you get to the option asking where you want Kubuntu to install. Use the option that manually sets up a partition. It is here that you can edit, merge, delete, re-format, ect. the HDD.

I prefer the GParted Live CD for such adventures.

However, there are a myriad of methods, from the DOS "FDISK" to Hirens Boot CD.

my network died al together and then I migrated to Win XP and played Command and Conquer Tiberium wars but got bored of it... I repaired my network problem (I just hard reset the modem) I upgraded to 8.10 and liking it but I still have problem with remaining KDE3 apps and MIME type error...
