Ethernet?

Recently i did an hardware upgrade on my pC

Congratulations to nvidia by the way, they now deliver a install tool for linux wich directly supports my new 9800GTX card..

the strange thing is that i have an internet connection problem and in my network connection settings the system made a new ethernet connection 4

Why is that?

What does your /etc/network/interfaces file look like?

It won't hurt anything, and you can undo it, so ...

Edit (as root) the /etc/network/interfaces file and comment out the last two lines. Save, close, and restart your system.
