wine and IE problem

I am on 8.04 and trying to install IE6 under wine. Clicking on downloaded install exe for IE6 I get
"setup has detected a newer version 0f Internet Explorer Already installed on system"
and would not proceed. I have IE on virtualbox and also on a dual boot install of win2000. How should I proceed? I don't want to use ies4linux.

Take a squiz at that and see if it works for you. Just ignore the IEs4Linux parts because it has a tendency to break Wine.

Do it in a fresh prefix also, so whatever you muck up can be replaced without a second thought.
