phpinfo not showing up

Hi all,

I'm new into open source and I hope someone can help. I just installed Kubuntu 8.04 and installed LAMP. I will like to confirm if the lamp components were installed properly. Could someone pls let me know how this is done. I got the It Works! but I get 404 Not found when I tried to go to http://localhost/phpinfo.php.

I will appreciate any help.

Hi exadeon. Try this command in your konsole:

sudo echo "<? phpinfo(); ?>" > /var/www/phpinfo.php

... then try to browse to http://localhost/phpinfo.php again
