    SOLVED!!! Buffer I/O error

I try and start up the "Try Kubuntu .." option, it loads kernle, and after that there is a blank screen with a white flashing underscore ( _ ) in the top left. i press "alt + F1" and get Loading...Please wait.

about a second later i get

    [ xxx.xxxxxxx] Buffer I/O error on device fd0, logical block 0

whats this mean and how can i fix it

I solved by finding out that fd0 is floppy drive, looked my BIOS, and it said that i have a 1.44MB 2.5" floppy drive in use. i told it that there weas none, and i no longer get that error.
