    SOLVED!!! Sandisk Cruzer U3 4GB Memory Full

    Hello...I am completely clueless about linux..my friend installed it and he isn't currently available to help.
    I have a Sandisk Cruzer U3 4GB Flash drive and had previously loaded movies and deleted them with no problems.

    Not sure if it was me but each time I load something then delete it it hides someplace in there and I can't access it to delete whatever is there.

    It is currently showing

    If someone can suggest some solutions I would appreciate it.

    you might have to dump the contents using Konsole.

      Hi..thanks for the suggestion...I opened Kinsole and It all looks Greek to me.


      I have no idea what to do...
      I've tried to do a few things with the Cruzer but it says access denied...

      The suggestion in the forum says to delete the files...I don't have a trash file..and when I load the cruzer it doesn't show any files in it whatsoever..just that there is only 1.1 gb of memory available and the rest is full.

      Any other ideas? Besides running over it with a tractor ..

        Hi.

        If you press <Alt> <F2> and type (or copy/paste this) into the box: kdesudo konqueror and then open the Cruzer with it, select (on the top menu bar) ->View ->Show hidden files, does it show any files in there?

              You could always get out the old hammer

              But pardon my ignorance, I don't quite understand your problem.

              To check all files, incl. hidden ones, on the command line do an
              Code:
              ls -la
              Does that help?

              If not we (well, I at least) need more info...

                I fear i can't.... i don't even know what it is you've got there, but there are plenty of forum members that can help you out.... it's just that they're not here at the moment.

                      Actually I do own a tractor!

                        You type it in a console (Konsole on the menu).

                        Copy and paste this: ls -la into the console.

                          And the tractor boys are Ipswich, Ipswich as in football, as in English football And Celia is sort of chairwoman of Norwich, so we are talking about a local derby, but what the heck - tell us about your ls -la output
