default settings and running apps ?

someone pls tell me how can i restore default settings for kubuntu 4.1 ?
i installed kubuntu in ubuntu -> ok
but now when i press any apps in kubuntu -> nothing happen , i could see a small icon near the point of mouse jump and jump but after that the app not work include terminal , just the apps in ubuntu work

If you open your Gnome file browser to your /home/anhvu folder, and choose "View Hidden", you will see a hidden file named .kde . Rename it to something else:

sudo mv /home/anhvu/.kde /home/anhvu/.kde_old

Use your actual user name, of course

Then log out, and restart the X server -- probably you can just reboot the system. On the GUI login screen, on the drop-down menu choose to log in to "KDE4". It should come up with an empty default desktop.
