I burnt the cd file off the website but now when I try to run it off the cd option in my bios it does not load. can anyone tell me how to get it to load. if it is possible can someone tell me if i have to burn it to a bootable cd using nero?

would you by chance have multiple cd drives?
i always use nero to burn kubuntu, and just opening the .iso in nero and hitting burn always works
can u boot from other cd's, like a windows cd? -

Try these instructions: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/BurningIsoHowto It may be that the terminology in Nero 7 is different from Nero 6. You might want to try the IsoRecorder tool referenced in the wiki. I can't vouch for it, though. I haven't used windows to burn anything in years. When I did, I used Deep Burner.Comment
