Can't get my kubuntu to boot from CD!!

Hi, When I start my computer with the computer on. I choose to install, boot from the cd.. and the kubuntu loading screen comes up.. and then it says:

..MP-BIOS bug: 8254 timer not connected to I0-APIC

Kernel panic - not syncing: I0-APIC + timer doesn't work! Boot with apic=debug and send a report. Then try booting with the 'noapic' option

What should I do? plz help!

It's more or less telling you what to do. Look at https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BootOptions . Page down to "When Installing".

When your installer/live CD loads you will come to this page...
Go ahead and hit the F6 key.
After you hit F6 you will see a screen that looks like this...
Simply append the options you want to the end of the line...
Then try booting with the 'noapic' option
So add noapic to the boot line. Boot.

        What exactly does it say?

How much RAM have you got?

Sorry about the 20 questions. Is it a laptop? Does it have a make and model?

Which download disk do you have?

Is it the one especially for 64 bit AMD - http://www.kubuntu.org/getkubuntu/download ?
