    Firefox 3.01

I have installed Firefox 3.01. Everything seems to be working fine except bookmarks...they all disappear once I exit the program. I searched for answers at Firfox and couldn't find any that matched my situation. Someone suggested I install some addon for bookmarks, but I have been using 3.01 in windows for a while now without any problems. I searched here first before posting - am I the only noob having this problem ?
BTW I am running kubuntu 8.04.1 - i think i installed the new kde...but do not notice any changes.

I have never seen this issue but mybe this will help:
install foxmarks on both your windows and linux Ff:
      https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fir...xmarks&cat=all

and synchronize your bookmarks so that they get loaded every time you open/close FF.

      I also use this:
      https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1027

Plus you could change to swiftfox instead of FF::
      http://getswiftfox.com/
HP Pavilion dv6 core i7 (Main)
      4 GB Ram
      Kubuntu 18.10

On the assumption that you have "imported" your bookmarks.html file into FF. You could check the access rights of the file.

          That is a thought.
I haven't imported for a long time because of foxmarks

Like the sidebar by the way. Interestingly, it's also in the repositories so you can get it via adept

Thanks all for the input and suggestions. For some reason it's not working ...been using konqueror and i really like it...been a FF user since ver 1- i'm looking forward to a change...and besides konqueror seems to be working 100%
