Well, I'm a Noob to Linux, I've been a Windows User all my life, From what I see with Kubuntu, I like it so far. My problem is I can't seem to install it. I have no way to go back to my my Org. OS, which is XP because it says its not found. When upon installing Kubuntu, it gets to 25% and then its says something about couldn't finish then tells me to try using a different write speed and to check disc, ect so i'm stuck on using the live Cd. any help would be apprecite.

If you don't use the live cd to boot up, do you get a boot manager coming up?
Windows might still be there but Grub isn't setup correctly to boot it. -

Well, at first a boot menu did come up and stuff, then I decided to just completely formate my hard drive, but it still does the Error O5. I've tried doing the loading with out changing system files, and clicking the install, but on the desk tray is says loading application then it goes away.Comment

(Solved)Stuck on Live CD
Well.I finally got it installed yesterday after Googling, Burning the CD at 4X did the trick. But Then I ran in top an other problem, which was Error 18,Grub Loading. But Figured it out today before work. Had to Manually install it and create other partions. Thankz for tring to help.Comment
