    Hawking HWP54G Wireless Problem (Solved)

I'm at the installation stage where it configs the network.
I want to use the "wlan0 Texas Instruments ACX 111 54Mbps Wireless Interface" card, but it tries to detect some wireless access points but it says it failed.

I bought this Hawking HWP54G wireless card a long time ago, when it first came out. Now, when I go on to the Hawking site, I can see the picture is different, the card is much smaller than what I have.

I'm afraid that my old version isn't plug and play with Kubuntu? (Card works with Windows)

    Re: Hawking HWP54G Wireless Problem

    Hi,

You can see if it's recognized just by typing in a konsole lspci and then check if you can find something like your card. If not, you will have to use ndiswrapper (make a search on the forum there's a lot of posts)
If it's recognized and not connecting, explain what is your network configuration and give the output of these commands please :
    cat /etc/network/interfaces
    ifconfig -a

    Cheers
